This page explains how the site handles information when you run a calculation, submit feedback, request a PDF, or contact the site. The key distinction is that calculations are processed on the site’s server, while some preferences may be saved separately in your browser.
Information sent when you use a feature
The information sent to the site depends on the action you take:

Calculator inputs are sent through the site’s REST endpoint to its WordPress application. Calculations are therefore server-processed, not performed solely within your browser. Enter only the information needed for the estimate; do not include confidential details that the calculation does not require.
Feedback and PDF contact submissions are separate from running a calculation. You can use the calculator without submitting feedback, and you can decline the optional PDF contact fields.
Information stored in your browser
Where a feature supports it, the calculator can save preferences or working state—such as your selected units or batch state—in your browser’s local storage.
Local storage can retain information between browser sessions. It is a browser storage mechanism, distinct from the information submitted in a server calculation request.
You can clear locally stored information through your browser’s settings. Clearing browser storage does not delete information you have already submitted to the site.
Technical processing and retention
The application may also process request metadata to validate requests, apply rate limits, maintain security, and diagnose errors. This operational processing is separate from the calculator values and optional messages you deliberately submit.
This page does not specify a fixed retention period for server-side information or operational records. Hosting arrangements and operational records may change. If retention is important to a particular submission, use the Contact page to ask about the information involved.
Email and privacy requests
When you email the published address, the site operator handles your message to read and reply to it. Email also passes through the services used to send and receive messages, whose handling of information is separate from the calculator’s processing.
Use the Contact page for questions about privacy or a specific submission. Describe the feature you used and the information your question concerns, without sending additional confidential material unnecessarily.
The site cannot identify or retrieve information that was never submitted to it. Information saved only in your browser must be managed through that browser’s controls.
